Information Notice on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK)

This is a translation of the Turkish Information Notice, given for information; if the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails. The data controller is in Türkiye and the notice is given under Turkish law.

This Information Notice has been prepared under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") about the processing of the personal data of the users of the Mira Baby mobile application.

1. Data Controller

The data controller under the KVKK is:

2. Personal Data Processed

The following data may be processed while the App is used:

User Information

• Name and surname
• E-mail address
• Account information
• Preferred language and country information

Baby Profile Information

• The baby's name or nickname
• Date of birth
• Sex
• Height, weight and development data

Tracking Data

• Sleep records
• Feeding records
• Breastfeeding records
• Diaper change records
• Health and development records
• Vaccine tracking information

Technical Data

• Device information
• Operating system information
• App usage logs
• Error logs and performance data

3. Purposes of Processing

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing the user account
• Providing the baby tracking services
• Creating development and vaccine schedule reminders
• Sending in-app notifications
• Providing technical support
• Improving the quality of the service
• Meeting legal obligations
• Ensuring information security

4. Transfer of Personal Data

Personal data may be transferred

• to cloud infrastructure service providers,
• to notification service providers,
• if you use the family sharing feature, to the other caregivers you invite at your own request,
• where the law requires it, to the authorised public institutions and bodies,

Family sharing gives the person you invite access to your baby's tracking records. You start this access, you can remove it at any time, and you decide the permission of the person you invite (can edit, or can only view).

in line with the provisions of the KVKK and the related legislation.

The third-party services used in the App may include Firebase, Google Cloud or similar service providers.

5. Method and Legal Basis of Collection

Personal data is collected electronically through

• the mobile app's forms,
• the sign-in screens,
• the profile creation steps,
• the app usage logs.

The data is processed on the legal grounds listed in Article 5 of the KVKK.

6. Your Rights under the KVKK

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to

• learn whether your personal data is processed,
• request information if it has been processed,
• learn the purpose of the processing,
• ask for incomplete or incorrectly processed data to be corrected,
• ask for it to be deleted or destroyed,
• learn the third parties it has been transferred to,
• object to the processed data.

Applications are concluded within the period set by the legislation.

If you ask for a copy of your data: the copy is delivered as a machine-readable file (JSON). When your request is concluded, a download step is opened inside the App for your account only, and we let you know by e-mail. The file is created on your own device; it does not pass through our servers. What the file covers, and what it does not, is written in the file's first section.
