Privacy Policy

This is a translation of the Turkish Privacy Policy; if the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.

This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, processed and protected when you use the Mira Baby mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you accept the practices described in this policy.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

The following categories of data may be processed while you use the App:

Account information: your name and e-mail address (if you signed in with Google or Apple), an anonymous account ID, your preferred language.

Baby profile information: your baby's name or nickname, date of birth and sex.

Tracking records: the growth measurements (height, weight, head circumference), feeding, sleep, diaper, fever, vaccine, teething, pumping and milk stock records, the development diary and your own notes that you enter into the App. Because these records contain health-related data, they are special categories of personal data under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and are processed only with your explicit consent.

Technical data: device and operating system information, app usage logs, crash (error) logs and performance data.

The App does not create accounts for babies. Accounts are only for parents and caregivers; a baby's data is entered by the parent, with the parent's consent.

3. Why We Process Your Data

Voice entry: if you use voice entry, what you say is turned into text by your phone's own speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iPhone). Mira Baby does not record audio and does not send your voice to its own servers; the microphone permission is requested only for this feature.

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising, under any circumstances.

Family sharing: if you wish, you can invite your partner or a caregiver and give them access to your baby's tracking records. Only you can start this sharing; you choose the permission of the person you invite (can add and edit records, or can only view them), and you can remove the access at any time. Who entered which record, and the edits made to records, are visible inside the App. The e-mail address or account ID of a person who accepts an invitation is that person's own personal data, so it is not included in your data export file.

4. Where Data Is Stored and Sub-processors

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, on servers inside the European Union (europe-west3, Frankfurt). We work with the following service providers to deliver the service:

We work with these providers under data processing agreements and in line with the KVKK and the GDPR.

5. Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data belonging to your account and your baby profiles is permanently deleted. Limited records that a legal obligation requires may be kept for the period set by the relevant legislation.

6. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK and the GDPR, you have the right to:

Deleting your account: inside the App, go to Profile → Account → Delete My Account to delete your account and all your data permanently. You can also send the same request by e-mail to destek@mirababy.app. For the full steps, and the list of what is and is not deleted, see the Account and Data Deletion page.

A copy of your data: to get a copy of your records, e-mail destek@mirababy.app. We complete your request within the period set by law, open a download step inside the App for your account only, and let you know by e-mail. The copy is created on your own device as a machine-readable file (JSON); it does not pass through our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over; it is not designed for direct use by children under 13. A baby's data is processed only under a parent's account, entered by the parent.

8. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to your authenticated account; the infrastructure's rules prevent one user from reaching another user's data.

9. Medical Disclaimer

This app is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult your doctor or pediatrician for decisions about your baby's health.

10. Changes to This Policy

Significant changes to this policy are announced on this page, and inside the App where necessary, before they take effect.
